From Attymass to Ashford Castle
A special Manchester Irish Festival photography exhibition is being staged in the basement Art Gallery of Fred's Ale House in Levenshulme. Its Thirsty Thursday tonight at Fred's, so you can enjoy a pint of Cask Ale or Cider for just £2.50 a pint whilst enjoying the exhibtion, the award winning Cibus Pizza Pop Restaurant is also open from 5pm.
The exhibition features photographs from the award winning Mayo Manchester Tradfest from their week long summer tour of County Mayo. The tour featured over 500 performers taking part in over 100 events at seven different hubs in the North, South, East and West of Mayo in the West of Ireland. The exhibition will feature photographs of the performers from Manchester which included Joe Keegan, The Fianna Phadraig Pipe Band, Peter Mylett, Marian Waldron and Alan Keegan, the voice of Old Trafford at Manchester United Football Club. It will also feature some of the other performers from Mayo and visits to the seven hubs of Achill, Ashord Castle in Cong, Attymass, Ballina, Bonniconlon, Claremorris and Castlebar.
