Hit Dave Allen Play to be staged for One Night Only at Festival

The Story of Dave Allen - his life and .....Death is an Irish Play by Kieran Cunningham. The Manchester Irish Festival has managed to persuade Kieran to bring his show which has been selling out theatres all over the UK and Ireland back to Manchester to celebrate the festivals 25th anniversary. It will be staged in the intimate first floor performance space at Fred’s Ale House in Levenshulme on St Patrick’s Eve on Monday 16 March. The venue is fast gaining a world wide reputation as a live performance venue, recently playing host to Peaky Blinders star, Neil Bell and New York City’s -Jeffrey Lewis as well as some of the best Irish Musicians in the world.

Following a sold-out run at The Royal Exchange in Manchester, Cartwright Higgins Productions and Carolan Jones Productions present Kieran Cunningham (Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Game of Thrones) as the legendary comedian Dave Allen in A Journey Through Life and Death.

This unique, one-man show finds Dave at Heaven’s pearly gates awaiting St Peter, sharing tales of his life and some of his best sketches. The show has been described by the critics as “A fitting tribute to a rare talent”.

Often dubbed ‘the first alternative comedian’, Dave Allen delighted audiences for over two decades with his observational comedy and satire.
