The Last Busby Babe launches book at Irish Festival

The Voice of Old Trafford at Manchester United Football club, Alan Keegan will host a special event to launch the book ‘The Last Busby Babe’.

The book is about the life of Manchester United
Legend and Northern Ireland star, Sammy McIlroy MBE. Alan will be quizzing Sammy about his book and he will host the sporting evening which is a must for any United or Northern Ireland fan. The audience will also be invited to ask questions at the event as well as purchase signed copies and pose for photos with the legend. When asked about the event Alan Keegan replied “It promises to be a great evening for any sporting fan, but United and Northern Ireland fans will find it fascinating. Sammy has asked that the tickets are priced at just £5 to make it affordable to all of his fans. It has already had a great deal of interest and tickets must be purchased in advance to gain entry.”

The evening takes place at Hotel Football in the Stadium Suite, 99 Sir Matt Busby Way, Old Trafford, Manchester, M16 0SZ.

Spanning a footballing career of more than forty years, hear Sammy talk about being Sir Matt Busby’s last signing for United; making his debut - and scoring - in a Manchester derby aged just seventeen; winning the FA Cup; playing in two World Cup Finals in addition to managing four different north west clubs as well as the Northern Ireland international side.

The event will start at 19:00 on Wednesday, 30th March, with the suite being open for guests from 18:00.

A cash bar will be open in the suite throughout the evening for supporters to purchase their own drinks.

Located on the ground floor at the hotel is The Café Football which will also be open for fans but any food and drink requirements must be booked and paid for directly with the hotel in advance.
