Top 10 Events at 2020 Manchester Irish Festival
The Manchester Irish Festival website has once again teamed up with Tourism Ireland to invite visitors to the 25th Festival to fill their heart with Ireland.
Here are this years top ten highlights (some of which are already sold out, so please check with venues).
1. Saturday 7 March
25th Anniversary of Young, Gifted and Green Irish Music, Song Concert at St Bedes College in aid of the Christie Cancer Care Hospital
2. Sunday 8 March
Jiving and Sean Nos Workshop from the award winning Mayo Dancers, The Ganley Sisters as featured on RTÉ TV. Ever fancied learning how to Jive or Brush or Barrel Dance? Dance workshops at 11-1 & 2-4 £15 each at St Kents in Fallowfield
3. Tuesday 10 March
Manchester Debut for Irish play - Memories and Melodies at St Kents in Fallowfield, Tickets £10
4. Friday 13 March
Irish Acoustic Night with Irish singer Niamh Finan at Fred’s Ale House. Niamh will kick start the Women’s Heart Weekend, which will showcase some of Manchester’s premier Irish talent, starts 9pm, Free Admission
5. Fri 13 -15 March
25th Anniversary of Riverdance at the Opera House Theatre - Sold Out
6. Sat 14 March
St Patrick’s weekend Tradfest with the 4 piece Trad Irish band Moor Irish at Fred’s Ale House at 9pm. Free Admission
7. Sat 14 March
3 Hail Marys Irish Play by Tommy Marren at the Altrincham Garrick, tickets £12. The award winning Midwest Radio presenter Tommy Marren brings his hilarious comedy from the West of Ireland for its debut in Manchester.
8. Saturday 14 March
Irish Country Act Paul Kelly and his band fly over from Ireland to headline the St Patrick’s weekend dance at St Kent’s in Fallowfield, Tickets £12.50
